Help with first *real* suit
Do not buy an ebay suit. Goto a few stores and try the suit before you buy it. If your porportions are normal a suitsupply would work. Repair or Throw Away
Throw away. Unless your cobbler is skilled, extra stitching in the heel area may prove to be uncomfortable. For a leather conditioner, i've had great success with Saphir.- Tacosauce

If you care about quality and willing to pay a little extra for it then "High Society" in Koreatown is the spot. I've had bespoke stuff made there and frequently use their alteration service for nicer garments.- Tacosauce
