I will always be amazed by how you built an impeccable heritage casualwear wardrobe in the scope of like 3 months and then decided you wanted to lounge for 2 years straight instead.

I have (off) white jeans in a cut that kinda works for me, which is an "ivy" type slim straight with a high rise. While I like them a lot I usually wear them for a half day before they're dirty enought for me to change out of them.

I like that jacket a lot! The color wouldn't work for me but that pattern and weight is something I'm all over.

Unfortunately I don't know what a u-rise entails so your answer, although precise, leaves me in the same state of unknown.

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

For those of you who went the Made to Mesure route, how much can the back rise be adjusted? I want a 13.5 inch front and 20.5 inch back rise to make sure my trousers fit over the hips, but I don't know if it can be done. Thanks

The fit is decently generous. This is a Large - 40. I have a 42 inch chest and I'm either a large or XL in japanese brands. Medium or large in western brands.

That type 2 is looking good. Did you buy it raw or was it factory distressed?

Thanks for the transfer payments, I guess 😂* I've had excellent experience size wise with 3Sixteen. Never tried RT. Freenote I've covered. But you and I are definitely not the same size so this means nothing. I still like Japanese brands above most other because they tend to have an "it"...

I've had a medium shirt which would have fit me great if I wasn't barrel chested. I filled it a little too well on the hips. For reference : Front / Back I'd have to try a large, but from what I see on the sizing chart it would work for me as a loose overshirt

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

No experience with Golden Bear jackets, but I have a moderate amount of knowledge on them. Can't cite sources so I may be wrong. The factory which makes Golden Bear was once contracted to make a lot of jackets for Levis, so it has quite a bit of history. They seem to have updated their...

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

If you're on Instagram it's the best way to reach Dave Himel, @himelbros for his business account and @wokedirtyuncle for his personal account. I would start with business.

Somebody like Dave Himel could help you learn more about that jacket. There are also a lot of guys on The Fedora Lounge with wells of knowledge, but I don't navigate that place often so I wouldn't know who precisely.

By the way CHP stands for California Highway Patrol. It’s a police jacket. I briefly had a Real McCoys version called the Mobster (ironic) but it was a bit too small :(

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

Regarding your question, @Fatknit, the CHP style is a popular pattern. There is demand, simple as that. Other makers carry similar jackets too. Freewheelers are often considered the goat but that’s highly subjective. Yours looks great.

Kapital - hippies, Japanese farmers and post-apocalypse survivors

Progress report after some 10 ish wears (and a cold wash & line dry) of my « No5 hot wash and dry » experiment. More than half the width what was lost in shrinkage came back. They are very confortable, surprisingly strechy for 100% cotton trousers. The color looks great.
