How to Wear A Tie Clip

Tie bars should be worn at a slight angle not to bisect the body. Remember it should attach to the shirt as well. Really? I always thought they acted like a weight at the bottom of the tie...though I guess that makes sense as well. Will anyone back this up?

Four-in-hand knot... am I doing something wrong?

Indubitably! Since ties vary in length, and since the part of the tie that needs to hang to the correct length is the wide end, you must use that end as your baseline. With a tie around your neck, pull the wide end down until its tip reaches your taint. Now tie the tie. If it ends up being the...

How to Wear A Tie Clip

So would it look most appropriate if worn halfway between the bottom of the collar and the "v" portion of the jacket (where it buttons / "comes together"). I'm sure there's a better term.

Four-in-hand knot... am I doing something wrong?

I'm going to bump my old thread here with a simple question. Let me begin by saying I'm "tie-challenged" I've stuck with the FIH as it seems to be the only knot I can really do. Is there a way to measure it out correctly prior to tying? I always seem to have to try 3 or 4 times before I can...

How to Wear A Tie Clip

How far down on the tie should it placed? Rather should it be aligned at a certain height on the tie, or correspond to the jacket? Thanks!

    Interview clothing advice!

What kinds of jobs are you interviewing for? The advice could change slightly depending what you are interviewing for. Entry-level jobs. The career fair is for new and upcoming college graduates. I have interviews with recruiters from Target, Best Buy, and a few other "modern" companies.

    Interview clothing advice!

The only think black I would wear are the shoes and the skinny tie is fine as long as it's not 2.75 inches in width. I have a 2", 3", and a standard. What's wrong with 2.75? Are you saying that I should wear a different color tie, or something with a little more kick?

    Interview clothing advice!

This has been asked a zillion times on the forum, maybe you want make use of the search function. To cut a long story short: plain 2 piece suit (navy or charcoal), white or light blue shirt and a conservative tie and black shoes will get you where you need to. Any issues with the skinny tie? I...

    Interview clothing advice!

I'm attending a career fair on Friday, and have several interviews set-up in advance. Any suggestions on what I should wear? Apparently there will be approximately 1000 in attendance, so it's crucial that I look as nice as possible. I have the following (all fitted / tailored): Suits...

Just won an auction for H&M suit but...

I've encountered this as well. 3 suits = 3 tight pants. They look fantastic while walking, but are very tight when sitting down.

FS: New Hickey Freeman glen plaid suit 38R

That looks very nice; sadly two sizes too large for me. I'd highly suggest retaking your photographs. The variance between the three (color wise) is incredible!

So I'm slightly confused comparing the site to the comments made. I'm a true 36R, should I expect this to fit? Tight? Loose? Thanks!

The Watch Appreciation Thread (Reviews and Photos of Men's Timepieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Brei

random watch question: how often should automatic watches be serviced if worn on a daily basis? I've heard every 5 years on average. Though I believe it depends on the stated service interval. Omega (I believe) was touting 10 year service intervals a while back. Granted many watch savants...

What do you think of this suit at this price?

I'm thinking about buying this suit... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll....cWAT.m240.lVI Is it worth the $300 "Buy It Now" price? How can I expect the suit to fit? I'm still pretty clueless about how different brands fit. What do you think of the quality? Thanks! I'm not sure myself, but...
