  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

For merino, I have had asket and charles tyrwhitt. Every asket knit has come apart at the armpit seams, and the quality of the wool varies from piece to piece, not soft at all. Charles tyrwhitt merino is excellent. Its got that perfect pile needed for warmth and softness, zero shrinkage and...

    Recommended sock brands--(Fort Belvedere?)

I am actually impressed by my corgi socks that I acquired a month or so ago. I received the 75/25 cotton ribbed socks, egyptian cotton boot socks, superfine merino boot socks and the donegal wool socks, all have met above my expectations. The cotton ribbed do pill slightly at friction spots but...

Looks like a well used faded sage to me, definitely some mileage on that. The faded collar edges are a giveaway.

Is the gap between Americans and Europeans too vast?

The majority of us English dress poorly, very poorly. And also depends geographically where you live, I don't see many collard shirts were I live unless your suited for work, but move out into more well to do places then I see them often along side with button downs. My first go to casual shirt...

I wonder what causes this. Is it the lasting machine moving the oils in the leather during pressing?. Do they have a shank?. For the price of these you can can get jadd boots fully lined with eyelet facings and much better laces.

Wasn't expecting it to be that bad to be honest. My Kudu ones are so soft now. Are you a heel walker?, where you land on your heel and by doing so making the leather bend inward. Beaded edges probably not helping either.

Yes they need to extend the counter to fix this. Not sure if it's for cost saving because the calf lining can be upto 2.5 times more expensive then the upper due to grading, especially if its veg tan. The rubbing on the ankle area will subside, but I can see cordovan being considerably longer...

I got this on my tl and Overstone but soon disappeared after some use, on my tl I actually had to take off the insole lining and sand down the back to bring down the ankle so my sides wasn't rubbing on the heel counter if that makes any sense. Your hand stich Harlestone have a cork filling, I...

I don't understand how coatings would stop pilling. In the wool bedding scene they use a solution to take the first layer of so the scales won't be present during washing and so no shrinkage can accur.

If you are finding some roll necks long, you can do a double fold in various lengths or even do the reverse method. Roll necks have plenty ways to fold like selvedge denim.
