  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

Thanks for this - fingers crossed!!! If they are a little spacious I can adjust with socks that are a bit bulkier.

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

I bought a pair for myself in the dark brown Delapre! I have a wide foot (E-EE in US size), and I understood the 61 last to be on the narrow side, so I am hoping the F fit in these will work out perfectly for me!

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

The key thing here in the small print at the Paul Stuart link provided is that these shoes are also eligible now for the PSFAN50 code that brings the price to $347. I have these shoes (they are beautiful), and I used that code to get the $347 price!

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

Very nice! I have those single monks in the "Bordo" color, which is a red/burgundy. Received a rare unsolicited compliment about them from 2 ladies at a restaurant the first day I wore them - great looking shoes! Did you use the PSFAN50 code to get them for $347? I used that for the most...

The slim is too small for you. The pulling across the lower back and the vents pushing out (they won't sit flat) are clear signs. Way better to buy contemporary - which hangs way better on you - and have some minor adjustments made by a tailor to pinch the waist a bit, etc.

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

Hey! Yes - *some* of the Paul Stuart made in Italy shoes are made by Paolo Scafora. The main giveaway is the nail pattern on the heel. The ones with 3 groupings on one side and 2 on the other are Scafora. Also, I believe the Scafora-made shoes were the only ones with the regular retail price...

Love the double-cross monks by Scafora - are those the Auburn colour?

I actually love the color and think it would look great with lots of things. (I bought the Minnis high-rise light brown flannel trousers from S&M and they are great). A few reasons why I would not go for these particular ones you linked: - I don't want cashmere blend in trousers - I am...

Visiting Rome for One Day: Any suggestions?

From what I can gather from Caleffi's website, the collars and cuffs are handstitched...so I assume that means the spares would need to be taken to a tailor to be replaced. I really like this idea of spare collar/cuffs since 99% of the dress shirts I have ditched over the years had collar...

Visiting Rome for One Day: Any suggestions?

Forgive my ignorance, but with the shirt that comes with spare cuffs + collar, are the collar and cuffs designed to be easily detached/swapped by the customer, or does a replacement require going to a skilled tailor to remove the old ones and sew in the new ones?

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

Agree with the advice thus far on solids - grenadine especially nice because of the texture. Or a solid linen or cashmere tie. In addition to navy or brown, I think burgundy might be nice for a slight color pop. A few examples from forum sponsor Amide Hadelin...

    Paolo Scafora shoes

The Paul Stuart models are sized US. I have a wide foot (E-EE US), and so I take my normal US size in these = 11 and it fits well. I usually take 44 EU in other makers who have generous lasts. My guess is that if your foot was narrower than mine, you could likely size down a half.

Visiting Rome for One Day: Any suggestions?

Gammarelli for socks...and to see the Catholic vestments only clergy can buy. These socks are better-priced at the source than through Mes Chaussettes Rouges in France.

    Paolo Scafora shoes

Is this one of the Paul Stuart models? They have 5 or 6 Paolo Scafora shoe models on sale right now for $292...crazy cheap, and one of the best deals out there right now in handmade top-quality shoes! I like many of the Paul Stuart models (I actually own 5 pairs myself), including the single...
