  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Thank you. It looks like the Games blazers didn’t sell at full retail rice.

They look good on you! I think I have the same ones or at least a very similar one. SFers and other internet people hate them, but I really like them as an occasional shoe. They really make certain outputs pop in the right way.

The Official Drakes knock-off thread - look-alikes and the producers behind Drakes

Yes the G. Inglese polos stocked at No Man Walks Alone are outstanding. Not cheap but they are amazing and are very durable or long-lasting. I'm really pleased with mine.

The Chicago thread - local recommendations, trunk shows, goings-on, etc.

I think your expectations may not be in line with typical costs. Most alterations of any kind seem to be $30 or more these days and you’ve mentioned multiple ones. Sleeve shortening is more expensive when the tailor has to go from the shoulder, such as if you already had functioning buttonholes...

I used to have this coat and I loved it. Gave it up when I put on some lbs. Now that I'm down again I would love to get it again.

Question for the Wide Specialists: I've been on a bit of a journey with EG sizing and lasts and would like to tap this group's feedback. 184 last in F (wide) width fits me great. I wear a 9UK/9.5 US. 202 last in E (standard) fitting also fits pretty good but I have it in 9.5 UK/10 US (a half...

Much cheaper. I ran the math on this for shirts if you search back in the forum. Drake’s has fair or least fair-er prices in UK. The staff at the Mayfair store are great too.

If you search the government website, you'll find they have been doing this for a long while. I don't think this is new 'news' but I am not aware of the financial strategy for doing this. This is probably for tax or accounting reasons.

Abercrombie and Levi’s are publicly traded. You can look up their net profit margins. Nowhere near that range. Perhaps that is close as a product margin, but once you factor in labor, buildings, supplies etc you are much lower.

The Chicago thread - local recommendations, trunk shows, goings-on, etc.

Drake’s will have a trunk show in Chicago at Independence on April 19 and 20. The emails says it’s a made to order trunk show. The one last year was good to go to, especially if you don’t know your size. They had a little bit of everything. Independence is a good store too - this is a good...

I would buy more Drake’s if I lived in the UK. Their standard Oxford is 175GBP or approximately $220 USD. The same on the US site is $295 or about $325 with Chicago taxes. That 50% increase is material. I’ll probably hold off on non-seasonal buys until my next London trip into the autumn...

    Chicago-based tailors?

There is a Chicago thread you can post to and also reveal the recommendations from others. For something like this, I would go see Nick at Oak Street Tailors
