Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. The Official Thrift / Discount Store Bragging Thread Part III (Sept 2018-)

Are you sure they are Arthur Umanoffs? They don't look the same: * Cross-members on the bottom which aren't in the picture * Significant unraveling in the back of seat basketweave (also a different back pattern) They definitely are not the same as the picture and the online photos. You'd have to...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I'll always love this version more than the classic two-tone DJ with champagne dial because this reminds me of the watch my grandfather wore, which I think (if it was indeed a DJ) had this exact configuration Is this the 36mm reference silver dial w/ white gold fluted bezel on jubilee? Can't...

    The OCBD collar roll thread

I mean they win in terms of purity but fail in terms of fit. Even if their collar rolls are godly, if the shirt fits like a tent at what point are you okay pursuing Ivy perfection at the cost of wearing a tent for a shirt? The fit is so baggy that it's unwearable, unless you're into this whole...

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

Looks SO much better man, and its great you took the advice to heart. You're taking the camera from a top-down angle so it does make it appear a bit carrot-stick-like in the side pose but I get the sense that it's still much better and the drape looks really good.

Definitely option 2. The 3940 is in the ne plus ultra territory - a grail of grails. You have a PP Perpetual/Grand Complications you've won. You've climbed the mountain and summited and then took a piss on top of the mountain to assert your alpha dominance. Clearly lesser-than watches can be...

EG Sizing on the 82 Last?

It's aligned w/ Brannock sizing. If you haven't done that in a while do that again. I ended up being on 11-11.5 which is the largest size I've ever worn for shoes and they're actually quite comfortable, and I would have never known if I hadn't had my latest brannock done

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

I called and they quoted $85-95 for the full sole w/ Rideway replacement - $66 is just the generic quote on the website. Does that seem better? They're a vetted cobbler in the area so I assume they're good.

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

I'm sure they're awesome but Ridgeway will be good enough for me, and if I can add it on for $66 then it will be worth it

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

Damn that's expensive - I'm seeing $66 for a full sole here: http://www.beaconhillshoerepair.com/services.html - what am I missing in terms of hidden costs, or are you just getting a huge price ding because of the Vibram premium?

Can I go to a cobbler and put a Ridgeway sole on something like a CJ Chelsea if I want something with grip for winter? What does a job like that cost?
