  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

The Chicago thread - local recommendations, trunk shows, goings-on, etc.

How Often Do You Get a Haircut?

Every 2.5 to three weeks. Over the pandemic, I have started cutting my own hair using a Wahl clipper. Works fine and saves a lot of money!

How long should a button shank be?

Thank you to both! I tried it with @breakaway01's matchstick method and the shank is a lot sturdier. The thickness is right about the thickness of the waistband, with maybe a hair more.

How long should a button shank be?

Hello! How long should the shank for trouser buttons be? Learned from a video on Permanent Style (here) and ended up with a ~3/16 inch (or ~1/4 inch) shank. Can post better photos, if needed. Thank you!
