I’m wearing a saint laurent hedi t shirt now. They hold up great but I get mine dry cleaned. In fact there’s something sort of elegant about a designer shirt five six years after the fact when they still look pristine. Maybe I’m biased!!

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

My wife has always been a Milgauss fan, especially the quintessential one with the black dial and green crystal. I feel it's a bit dated; anyhow, she's been chatting with our local jeweler and they have a 2022 with papers, pristine, 3-year warranty remaining at a reasonable but still obviously...

Agreed, in a way my Dior Homme items have stood the test of time the best.

    STEAKS!!!!!!!

Ha, I forgot whom they said, but I had a couple shaky steaks (e.g., a grossly undercooked lamb with un-rendered fat all over), and while usually the quiet type, eventually asked the server what was up and she gave me the inside scoop. Maybe the sous-chef, IIRC, and that they don't let the steaks...

Yes, most importantly, I'll be visiting the Celine store although I wonder if it's a bit moribund and I'll have to switch to Chanel. Since I'm a seasoned customer I'll only have purchase one or two items to feel with it, since I don't need anything anymore. That gets me thinking, I'd say my HS...

Speaking of 9000 or rather 9000+£, I'll be in London for my first time in a couple weeks. I'll be mostly going to shows, museums, restaurants, probably tourist-y stuff to be frank, however, I'll definitely be carving out at least a couple hours to check out some of the shops and tailoring. Any...

That is a good question, what would a Chanel Teddy cost, $9,000?

    STEAKS!!!!!!!

This is Rocco’s in the Newtown Suburbs. Try to eat outside for a bit more ambiance although the building is cool and historic. The chef is off on Mondays so avoid then! If you get up to New Hope, which let’s face it, is more scenic and artsy, Odette’s has vastly improved their menu. They’re...

Yes that leather jacket was the only thing that caught my eye but 46 not 44. Not sure if I love the pattern but looks very wearable

I too saw this as a swan song, return to California, all blacks, funeral feel, although somewhat contrasted with the dynamic orchestral score. This was one of the collections that spoke to me the most and seems more easily wearable, thus, likely his final collection for Celine!!

according to the most credible source in the world, Instagram, HS seems to be on the edge of departing Celine. Would make sense as five years is a long time and I could see his proposed replacement, Michael Rider of Polo, being a suitable replacement. I’ve always had this idea that Celine is the...

The one thing I wonder about there, though, is wouldn't that adversely affect the silhouette? I suppose it could be said in both directions, but for some reason I like the touch of flare at the end of the sleeve, whereas I tend to like a tighter/higher armhole upper bicep region unless I'm...

I had a tailor shorten from the end of the sleeve once and was left with fewer buttons!!

If you have a relationship shouldn’t be a problem, but if you’re coming in for the first time to the boutique and not purchasing anything they might stonewall you. They know good tailors so you can be confident in the alterations, that said, if you’re in the know in your area you should be able...

I'm not a huge boot guy, but have some Saint Laurents and remember them being touted as Goodyear but to GG's point, I've had SA's from the HS empire tell me that the suits or blazers are half or fully canvassed depending on mood or day. I'm never quite sure myself so have given up. That said...

Seems to be the traditional negotiating phase's hyperbole, although as a creative one tends to be peripatetic and thus one wouldn't be surprised if HS moved on to another endeavor.

I like a lot of the new stuff! I could say my usual caveat, except the giant logo, but won't bother! This is basically perfect for me but too close of course to the blouson in brown I purchased last year. It happens to be my best fitting leather.
