The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Im putting this on a deployant. I think it is the pin buckle. Dunno we will find out lol

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

For anyone considering a custom strap, Terrycrafted is amazing and has ridiculous attention to detail. I checked a few of his straps out in-person at a meetup a few weeks ago and have been going back and forth with him on a custom alligator strap and I had no clue half of the things he has asked...

There’s nothing illegal 99% of the time. Only if you did something wrong during dd but even then very unlikely.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

There was a weird dynamic in 2021 where you would make more as a founder raising a growth equity round and selling secondary than you would outright selling the co. Basically the valuation spreads became very wide and VC was wildly overpaying. So I’m sure he cashed out nicely, especially...

Someone posted the new Voutilainen movement on IG. Looks great in gold. Something about the chapter ring looks a little disconnected though.

This one is also super beat up but seemingly runs fine lol. Thinking of getting a new strap for it but it’s an odd lug size iirc, kind of irritating

Bvlgari is responsible for it and would service it which is nice since there are quite a few of them.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Here’s the babele tuns strap. I like the padding and 20 - 18 taper instead of the more extreme 20 - 16 taper I had on the Delugs croc. I don’t think I’d get another strap that uses babele leather though. It looks a little too much like denim. It is super comfortable and pliable which is nice...

Tuns suede for the Panerai. Really love how this turned out. Quality is similar to Delugs for sure but much cheaper.

With both Moritz Grossman as well as Lange & Heyne...I love the overall quality and some parts of the watches, but I feel they always have 1 - 3 things that totally kill the watch. L&H, a lot of them are weirdly big, like the Georg. Grossman has an awful awful awful logo.

Breguet numerals with moonphase is so nice. Looks wicked.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I ordered some FKM tropic straps from Aliexpress that arrived today. Identical in quality to my tropic rubber except 1/10th the price. The seller was Juelong. Also had some stuff from Tuns Leather arrive. Same as Delugs in quality but about 40% less. Definitely not Camille fournet lol, but...

I got to as Milgauss - mid 2010s Datejust - I think early 00s can’t remember Submariner mid 2010s 5513 sub from 1966 No real memories lol. Most I got in trades and only accepted because they were more liquid than what I was selling. The 5513 I bought for my dad but he literally never...

Well yeah obviously Rolex is above retail lol? That is what they go for grey/used. Same with a lot of ROs right now. Moda is still cheaper than any front facing sites and way cheaper used for non hyped pieces. I paid around $65k for something that was on watchbox for $80k for example
