My wardrobe has shifted from suits to casual in the last 5 years. So I’m happy to see the C&J range becoming broader. A quality offer for every occasion.

Not a lot of love on here for the SS24 releases. But I warmed to these Biburys and so did others, Jermyn Street pulled these down from the factory for me. Spacious last and the new rubber sole, which I dismissed on launch, is actually very comfortable!

Saphir’s Everest Vegetable dubbin works fine and is cheaper. Use a really small amount, it spreads well the more it warms up from your fingers. Just keep moving it outwards. You’ll be surprised how far it will go.

This might be helpful https://www.crockettandjones.com/blogs/the-article/leather-creases-how-to-reduce-them Also, I was in the main Jermyn Street shop this week. They cautioned me against going up half a size because of creasing. But the boots were so much more comfortable I thought I’ll trade...

You can set France as your location. Last option on the menu. It kept reverting to UK for me. Might need to clean cache.

A bit late in replying, business trip changed and only went to the store today. Yale look excellent. Very subdued burgundy, not shiny and I think can do smart/casual.

I’m planning to visit the store next Monday looking for loafers. I discounted Yale. Could be a bit too shiny for casual but that said plenty seem to carry it off. Simon at Permanent Style seems to wear cordovan loafers a lot. I like the look of Nice in tobacco and Sydney in snuff. Not too round...

I thought the same as you until I saw someone rocking a pair in a pub last weekend!

I’m very interested in the chocolate hurricane version. You can see the light and dark tones from creasing on the C&J image. And I guess these were almost fresh out of the box before being photographed. So really interested to get a pair and see how they develop.

She said if 325 works for me, then go with Cavendish, or try going up 1/2 a size in the Maddox because Maddox has a tighter toe box. So my guess is it’s 314. Does look it. She replies asap with really helpful insights on fitting etc.

That’s helpful. I’m looking at the Maddox loafers in dark brown suede. C&J last 325 is good for me. Anyone any ideas what last the Maddox is?

Yes, in central London they have two shops on Jermyn Street in London. Another not far away in Burlington Arcade. If you know which shoe you want, I think you can do a stock check online before setting off to the store.

I've worn coniston rough out suede for daily dog walking for 3 years now. Very practical. Hose pipe the mud off, or brush the dust off, add a touch of dubbin and they look new. Super comfortable as well!
