The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (May 2015 - Sept. 2018)

Sure beats the feeling you get seeing a post like yours and thinking 'I can't even buy items/brands like this in a retail store without traveling 2000 miles interstate, let alone find them at thrifts/garage sales'! Edit: That's West Oz for ya.

    What wallet do you use?

I really like this card holder from Tanner Goods. I've had two, first one was eaten by my dog, second I lost. I've just ordered a new one but just received an email that they are offering a new leather colour (see image below). Would have gone with the new 'slate blue' had it been released at...

Australian Members - Part II - if you read the first post, you'll get what this is all about.

I find this thread to be very eastern states based so I don't really chime in too often. Been into street wear for the last few years but starting to get back into classic menswear now that street wear is over-hyped.

I just purchased my third wallet (card holder actually) from Tanner Goods. Great quality but I have a tendency to lose them. They also now offer cordovan options.

    Better Call Saul (AMC)

What did everyone think about episode 3 & 4? I think its still a little slow in the character development but hoping the plot thickens and we see James Mcgill turn into Saul Goodman by the next ep.

Watched Free Jimmy and would give it a 4 out of 5. Great adult animation.

I've used Puro Express before. I got charged duty on one box which was around $200 on top of what you pay for the cigars, and the tariff has definitely increased since then. Bought a smaller five pack another time and paid no duty. The cigars came in ziplock bags with a humidipack. Would use...

Was the suit originally your size? The pull from the buttoning at the waist looks pretty bad IMO, esp. on your right.

Those Thai tailors, I have noticed, seem to push fabrics as wool, cotton and/or linen but most of the time they are nearly pure polyester. I don't know if a tailor traveling to Australia will try the same trick considering our consumer protection laws but it would not surprise me...
