The Official Artisanal "streetwear" footwear (boots, shoes, sandals) thread (Guidi, CCP, Augusta, M.

Hey guys, just got in a pair of CCP black derbies CUL-PTC and they are absolutely beautiful. Last time around I got a size 8 and had to sell them as they were too big (I'm a 42.5). This time I opted for a 7 and they are super-tight on the sides. Anybody have luck breaking them in from "too...

Hey gang, Hope you are well. I know it's been a while. My wife just got a job teaching English in Japan and we'll be moving there at the end of July. Pretty excited. We'll know more about our location in a few days. But I'm considering another pair of derbies before we go. Torn between CCP...

In other news, I just purchased this Harnden Haymaker from Harvey's in Berlin (an early birthday present for me). I remember there was talk about how it was tough to get in touch with them, maybe. Or if they shipped overseas. They were easy to work with and they do one day shipping DHL (the only...

Hey gang, Been a while, I know. Lots of life-changing stuff happening (no baby, but big, nonetheless). I'll be able to talk more about that in a few weeks and I look forward to jumping back in to this crazy SF world. That said, I'm cleaning my closet and as much as it kills me to do, I have...

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

Thanks very much! Will check them out. Went to Margreeth Olsthoorn in Rotterdam yesterday. She had a Dutch designer who had some nice (stuff A.G. Nauta) and some Thom Krom along with a bunch of other mid-level brands. 2PR in Amsterdam had some nice Poeme Bohemien and 10sieotto but I guess...

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

Thanks, @robinsongreen68 I guess I wasn’t expecting much to be here. It’s always so weird to see so many stores/brands that I’ve never heard of but which all look the same (basically like G-Star because it reigns supreme). Destroyed jeans and tight tees are still de rigueur, it seems. Waffles...

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

Hey all, I’m in The Netherlands for a couple of weeks. Anyone have any recs for artisanal designer-type stores? I’m based in Rotterdam but will be heading to A’dam a few times and could even get to Antwerp or other places not too far by train. I asked in the artisanal thread but got nuthin’...

Any suggestions on cool stores or really, anything else? I've been to Rotterdam a bunch of times, but this...

Altieri was sweet and said he might come to see me play tonight. Totally random and just a wonderful experience. He was doing some personal fittings as well as there being an exhibition on his work. I tried on some clogs which were pretty sick. Got to handle the jacket they had hanging which he...

That’s pretty funny. That’s what I was trying to convince myself that *I* needed. But I just picked up a new Porter x Tokyu Hands carry-all. That, I actually needed, and it even slips over my suitcase’s handle. https://hands.net/goods/2430001766946/ Sorry to go OT.

Not really. Shinier, thicker and more rigid (in a good way). I wish they had one remotely practical that I could justify. But I’m on the Shinkansen to Tokyo and I’m sure I will succumb to something.

So I have my Tokyo shopping cut out for me later in the week, but I’ll be in Kyoto for the next two days. Any recs? Clothing or otherwise? Staying with a friend who knows the city well but he’s not into the stuff in this here thread. Thanks!

Thanks, Guys. Might be able to hit Cathedral while I’m here. Sadly, Fascinate is an hour away. Osaka is big! Still plenty of time for some denim shopping in Okayama and a week in Tokyo.
