although fit is such an individual thing, if you see some NOS #73 last graftons going cheap somewhere, e.g. ebay, take a chance on them, true to size, and probably more forgiving than many other lasts, hence their reputation. In my particular case, the G fitting 73 is perfect, a little wider...

Similarly, I’d like to maintain the burnished look on these Conistons, so far I’ve just conditioned them occasionally, but was wondering what other people use. I’ve got a good palette of Saphir cremes to choose from.

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

old and new: chestnut after 6 years with dark tan 1 month. I think dark tan is the perfect colour, not too light and orangey, but will develop a really nice patina with time.

the darkness of the nutmeg varies a lot in the shops - the really dark ones look the best to me. e.g. the ones here: https://www.blowesclothing.com.au/collections/rmw-boots

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

At the Homebush clearance place today I saw women's Adelaide boots in 'light tan' - a sort of dijon mustard shade. It would be nice to see a men's craftsman in this shade, is there anywhere can this be done as MTO? or are options there restricted to a standard range?

I found a pair of NOS pre-buyout Graftons in Sandalwood binder. This material always looked cheap in online photos, but I saw a few examples on the street, and decided it looked good in real life.

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

I had problems with a pair of yearling whisky craftsmen that would get superficial white scratches that wouldn't polish out, and could not be coloured in. RMW took them back and replaced them for me. (problem posted a few years ago on this thread) So I think sometimes the dyeing process can go...

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

went to the George St and QVB stores when visiting Sydney last week. The new ownership as lead to a rather bizarre business concept for selling shoes. Hardly any actual shoes in the shop, just a few exemplars on a table, and leather swatches, no price listings but you could tell the prices would...

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

Well, okay the leather is holding up fine structurally. But I don't think I have made the extent of the problem clear enough. More practically I'm comparing my whisky craftsmen to my chestnut craftsmen - after a week's wear, the chestnuts will show scuffs and scratches naturally, but then I put...

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

well I guess putting up with the scars is one option, but the toughness of these particular cowboy boots is in question to me - I've never seen leather turn white so easily, and polishing does nothing. My other RMs don't have this vulnerability Anyway, I'll see what the RM people have to say.

I could not polish out the scuffs on these whiskey craftsmen, and customer returns at RMW offered to look at them. They came back with the scuffs reasonably covered, but after a few days wear (nothing out of the ordinary, I don't ride the bike with them or have a pet leopard), they are back. I...

I tried a cobbler, he just sold me another polish, he couldn't do the color in the shop. The RMW service dept got back to me, they want to look at the boots themselves, maybe there is something wrong with the coloring. I'll send them back via the London shop.

I can't find the stockman's boot polish in whisky, I got the tan as the nearest to it, but that does not seem to work. I might try one of the darker shades from saphir.

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

can anyone help? I cannot find a way of getting the scratches out of my whisky craftsmen. For my other chestnut boots, a bit of the rmw shoe cream covers scratches instantly. Nothing works on these - I tried the tan rmw cream; I tried some wax kiwi polish. The scratches are entirely superficial...

no problems of RMWs with jeans, they don't stick out from under them. I'm sure there are plenty of photos on the thread to back this up.

the airport shop has a pretty good range (it is within the duty-free area); George st Sydney is worth checking out, though not as much stock as you would think considering it is a flagship shop, there is also one in Westfield across the street. Further down towards the quay in the Renzo Piano...
