    Orslow

Any of you guys ever put Orslow jeans through the tumble dryer? Was the shrinkage noticeable?

Kafka in Scotland does some special brews of the New Yorker. They’ve done a cotton herringbbone, and a full poly performance version. Worth looking at.

I just went through this myself. I ended up going down a size and it’s worked out really well. They have not shrunk, if anything they have stretched a bit with wear.

I also wear a size 3, which is a little bit loose on me. Mine have not shrunk, and I just toss them in whatever wash is going in, 30 or 40C, and hang dry them. Never used the tumble dryer. I’ve embraced the fit though! I wear one of the stretchy belts from Anderson’s and it’s just really comfy.

Nope! The 2 would have been shorter than I like, but the 3 I can wear down, with a single cuff or a slim roll. Inseam measures 31.5”.

Thank you both so much. Love the overall message to embrace the comfort. I’m going to take it on board ☺ I recently tried the New Yorker in 3, but it was SO big I had to pass (like fall off my backside big). I’m going back for a 2 I think.

Hey, does anybody know if Orslow one-wash denim will shrink a bit over time, with repeated wears and washing? Im sort of between sizes with Orslow, and from what I’ve read on the past few pages, some of you are as well. i have the slim fatigues in a 3, and they’re a little bit loose in the...

    ENGINEERED GARMENTS FALL/WINTER 2020

Thank you! Yes, I’ve had that issue with a cotton jacket before. The tailor tried to warn me, but I didn’t care too much. The visibility of the old stitch marks decreased over time and it all ended up good. Thanks again!

    ENGINEERED GARMENTS FALL/WINTER 2020

Anyone have any experience with having EG pieces tailored? I picked up a herringbone cotton Bedford this season. I’m 6’2” and slim and actually ended up buying a small. It fits nicely but still has enough room to see the shape of the thing. The sleeves are a bit short, but there’s a full inch...

    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

I came for work, for six months, and ended up loving it and having quite an adventure. Now I’m married to a born Londoner who will never live anywhere else, so I guess I’m here to stay? “American Pride” is a bit of a weird one. I work in advertising, so you have to take everything I say with a...

Man, you guys move quick! I got buried in work and you've gone from the virtues of MiUSA straight through to what bag to pack for what trip. Lovely. This made me laugh. I'm not proud to admit it, but I've definitely done a quick (last minute) business trip to Spain out of my standard...

I have both, and Bball is 1 size down. Bball are infinitely more comfortable as well. Why doesn’t this get more air play? Just get them from Mr Porter. You’ll know they’re legit.

    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

Hey guys! Thanks for the super quick feedback @speedy611 @TinMan3 @Stratkat. Bit more background. When I go with a single bag, I put my wet stuff in a dry bag, like a waterproof sleeve, and then chuck that in with the MacBook etc. I've been doing this for years and never had a tech failure...

Hey all! Longtime lurker here and now I am turning to you pros for a very odd piece of advice. Sorry in advance. I have blacked out original briefcase that I bought about two years for everyday carry. Every time I use it, it's awesome. It fits my MacBook, camera, notebooks, Anker, everything I...

    ENGINEERED GARMENTS SS 19

Anyone seen the patchwork Bedford in the UK / EU yet? TBB doesn't have them yet, and Nepenthes London isn't open yet.

    The Uniqlo Thread

Is it weird that I really like the bog standard nylon "convertible collar" / "single breasted rain coats"? They're so basic and utilitarian, but I think they do the trick.

    The Uniqlo Thread

if you're tall, you're going to find the current crop very low rise. I don't know what's happening, but I'm finding Uniqlo fail after fail at the moment. Sizing is all over the place.

Anybody seen an online retailer with the spotted navy jackets (Bedford I think)?

I dunno, I rather like the cotton seersucker "suit".
