Skoaktiebolaget – Löf & Tung, Carlos Santos, Enzo Bonafé, Saint Crispin’s, Paolo Scafora, Rubinacci

As long as SkoAB doesn't discontinue Enzo Bonafe, I'm good :-) Personally I have never felt the need to step up from Enzo Bonafe as it offers everything I'm looking for in a high end shoe. The fact they have some of the best fitting lasts for my feet also helps a lot. Of course finishing on PS...

    Cheaney

Very nice, a great classic shoe. I like the shape of the 125 last and the swan's neck stitch is a nice detail. I agree with you about Cheaney making very decent shoes, I own 10 pairs and all of them perform very well. Not much love for Cheaney on social media, but who cares...

The Ultimate Vass (Footwear) Thread (Pictures, reviews, sizing, etc...)

I asked Vass about the instep of the FB last on IG and they said the instep isn't higher than on the F last.

Sons of Henrey - Shoes of timeless elegance - Official Affiliate Thread

On both shoes the creasing is really light which illustrates the quality of the leather used by SOH. For me that is the strongest asset of the brand together with the well fitting lasts (although fit is more of a personal thing). And of course Tom is a nice guy with a passion for shoes and a...

Ive always been surprised that Vass is considered to have high instep lasts. I own Vass shoes on both F and U last and wouldn't say the instep is particularly high. I have a high instep and Vass gives quite some V gaping in the instep. Bonafe on the contrary fits my feet very well indicating the...

The Ultimate Vass (Footwear) Thread (Pictures, reviews, sizing, etc...)

^^ This. People shopping on Savile Row cant be bothered with mailing to Hungary and patiently waiting for an answer. I agree Ascots service isnt always the best but one must admit they offer something unique. Whether youre prepared to pay premium prices for that is up to you. Im not but then...

Ascot posted another pair in Horween hatchgrain on their IG two days ago. They source the leather from AA Crack.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...)

Surprised to see how similar Rain and Robert last are. I thought many people sized up by 0.5 from Rain to Robert?

    Loding Shoes

Last is 2557. But CS has a vast array of different lasts. It fits similar to the better known 234 last but with more room in the vamp/instep. It fits larger than the 316 last imo.

I think you are right, this seems to be a leather that gets refinished by the different shoemakers.

    Loding Shoes

They fit pretty large so I went down 0.5 size from my regular size (7.5uk instead of 8uk) which I rarely do but in this case it worked out perfect. I don’t have any experience with Meermin but I own several pairs of Carmina and CS. Maybe it's useful to point out that these Loding shoes are...

Thank you, the leather is quite something... And of course fit and finishing is nigh on perfect as we've come to expect from Toms shoes
