Yes that's the union label. You can narrow down an age range based on that label. Googling some of the words on the label there should lead to some sites with guides.
Brooks Brothers was excellent quality during this time, which often accounts for older guys complaining about the label's...
I had this happen to a few pairs during current times when many of us are wearing dress shoes less often.
I used a Clorox wipe to gently wipe it away, not applying too much pressure in case it may remove the edge dressing color, etc. and being careful not to touch the uppers with the wipe. Also...
I remember when these first came out Kanye was photographed wearing them, so they had a really good resale value for Vans. Nice thing about Vans is that they usually clean up very well. A bit of elbow grease with an old toothbrush and you can get all the dirt off the rubber.
My understanding has always been Tramezza = Goodyear, Lavorazione Originale = Blake but maybe it is not safe to make that broad statement. In the few pairs I have, that does hold true.
Closely inspect the shoes and try to find the seam where the welt and sole meet. Here is a photo of 2 pairs of...

Haven't posted in quite awhile, hoping everyone is well. Thought this one was post worthy:
Saw this a week ago for $700 and went back hoping it would have an extra clearance mark-down. It was marked down A LOT more. Don't understand how that happened, but it's mine, and that's all that matters.
Certainly not constructed the same as a Tramezza. Tramezza is goodyear welted, causing the soles to be a bit thicker because of the welt.
This model is either blake stitched or cemented, so comparing it to Tramezza would not be accurate.
Assuming it's the narrow waist design you're after. To Boot New York does some similar models with their handmade line. Not the greatest quality-wise once you compare them to high end makers, but a fine enough shoe IMO. Fairly easy to find discounted as well.
Any ideas who this is supposed to be? Took a gamble and bought this bust/sculpture for $3. Seems done by hand with artist name on back. Usually see this type of thing for composers, but not seeing a striking resemblance to any of the big names.
In my opinion the sole wear would indicate they were worn a handful of times. If I had to guess, the creases are as deep as they are because the shoes were not stored with shoe trees. This can be helped, as others have mentioned.
You can find similar shoes on ebay, simply search "Norvegese". I...
I bought a cheap sport coat once to experiment trying to take the shoulder pads out. When you take them out, there is still the excess fabric that was there to account for the padding. The shoulders don't lay as flat/natural as you'd like, so no point really IMO.
