    Tomorrow morning begins three days of tromping around Universal Studios theme parks with the wife and kids. As is tradition, I will wear my Ross boots the entire time. The suede collar is a big differentiator vs other boots after a full day of moving around.

    Interesting. I would definitely consider that. There are probably some pros and cons of calf suede, pricing aside, so that would need to be weighed. Any insight or experience? This is probably a next summer purchase for me. I would consider opening a GMTO for a month or so in case it fills up...

    Agreed. It looks fantastic. Thanks! One MTO concern is that I prefer Vibram Londra over the Ridgeway sole. So if I want the boots truly to spec it would cost another $200 or so for that aftermarket upgrade. Has anyone asked them lately if they will be adding Londra to the MTO options? No urgent...

    Similar question here… If I multiply ply times gauge, dies that get me the number of strands per inch? It seems like that would be a way to compare the density of different garments.

    A question for this TSG Pembroke Owners Club…. Has anyone gone with darker laces? I have been considering swapping with some spare medium brown or dark brown laces. Too lazy to do so thus far, but any inspirational photos would be appreciated!

    I find the Lanark slightly roomier than the Pembroke. With the same shoe size in both, I use normal socks with the Pembroke and lightly-cushioned socks with the Lanark to achieve a similar fit.
