Given Given the location in front, that would drive me nuts. Those should have never gone out as firsts. In fact, the welt stitching on that pair is a complete mess. Send the pics to Alden and see if they can fix in a way that doesn’t make the problem worse.- smmrfld

You don’t need to remove your shoes. Just ask to go through the scanner instead. I do this weekly with Precheck.- smmrfld

AoM should be fine...but be very, very confident that you get the right size. Loafers are the toughest shoe to fit correctly, initial heel slippage will likely improve a bit but not completely if they aren't a perfect fit, and wearing thinner/thicker socks isn't really an optimal solution.
