I find that sizing up 1 from my normal size and letting out all fabric, it becomes pretty good. But I agree that the stock fit is pretty bad. I’m sure a part of the customer base prefers to very slim fit, but Cavour should take some responsible and save us from the slim fit trousers.

They’ve certainly come a long way since I purchased my first sweater from them back in 2014 (so has their prices). The made in Scotland knit is still in use, so can’t complain about value.

While I agree that it’s seems like this season has been slow, the items I had been eyeying barely made the 40% mark in my sizes. Brown cords, herringbone blazer ans most coats already gone in my size. Should be able to wait for 50% in shirts at least. Love their boxy fit.

If the fabric in the lower left is not included in the S/S collection my disappointment will be immeasurable and my day ruined.

I can get away with size 52 with zero alterations and typically go for size 54 and fully let out the thighs and calfs. So the difference between the two models are quite significant.

The longer coverall is significantly longer and works with my tailoring as well.

I’m 6’4. Only works with my games blazer, not my longer tailoring.

Coverall over same size games, and still plenty of room.

    Rubato

That’s too bad. I tried the Speciale ones in L and XL and found them perhaps a tad too short (I’m 6’4), but I know PS added a few inches or so - so I just assumed it should be good.

I haven’t checked measurements, but the Permanent Style cotton knit made by Speciale? Probably not cheaper, if cheaper at all - but the Speciale knits seems great quality.

I think there’s a few good news. I like the grey tweed herringbone blazer and corduroys especially. A few of the knits also looks decent. Anything you like?

Cavour DB the other day. Will there be any new blazers for FW or are all varieties in the webshop now? Believe I saw a picture of you in a grey herringbone blazer Kevin?

Hmm, I wonder if perhaps maybe possibly 100Hands makes the new shirts for Cavour 😉

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
