You should probably give up before digging yourself in too deep. There are a ton of pretty bad Loro Piana suits. LP makes some great fabrics, and LP makes some rather cheap ones. JCrew uses LP fabrics on some of their suits, which are rather cheap. I've seen other suits which are worse than...- VikingsFan82

As others have pointed out, pick stitching has become a gimmick that manufacturers of cheap suits use in an attempt to appear more high end. A vast majority of pick stitching is poorly done and tacky. I'd say that identifying well executed pick stitching could help one identify a quality suit...- VikingsFan82

Many cheap suits are also made of inferior wool or blends. Yes, and the label will usually indicate the "blend." My H&M suit is a wool blend from a no-name fabric manufacturer. I was talking about 100% wool.- VikingsFan82

The Super 120s only means that it's max 17.75 micron in diameter and new wool....that doesn't mean it's high quality. I'm talking about Super 120's, 100% WOOL (NO BLENDS) from a good maker like Zegna or Loro Piana. How many cheap suits have you seen with that?- VikingsFan82

Blaze, don't facepalm at me either. Sure, there are fabrics that are tons more softer and supple than Super 100s, but it's well-established the Super 120s range is the threshhold for "hard-wearing" wool. Especially if it's "worsted" (less fuzzy carding). I like how people...- VikingsFan82
