This was good advice, thank you. They've arrived and they're true to size.

PARABOOT APPRECIATION THREAD 2018 - NEWS, PICTURES, CLOTHING, ACCESSORIES, ETC.

Does anyone have experience with the Arpenteur x Paraboot chukkas, size wise? I’m a solid UK 8 but have the Avignon in 7.5 which fit perfectly. No half sizes available on these, so not sure whether to go for the 8 or go all the way down to a 7.

Both good options, thanks. EG Dover in dark brown suede have been on my wish list for a while generally, but the country calf option is a good shout.

Exactly how I feel about them. Like you suede chukkas are my regular 'shoe' (I think of them as shoes in the context of lace-up boots) for two or three of the English seasons, but not great for muddy puddles and the like. Maybe a rough-out suede chukka would be a good winter alternative to...

Very good suggestions, but for whatever reason I'm personally not a big fan of brogue shoes. Although I do have a pair of C&G Islay that I wear a lot, so again it must be the boot vs. shoe thing.

Waiting to see what the new AW collection holds is probably a good idea. Like you I'm much more of a boot guy so I understand the dilemma. It's why I've been on the lookout for a shoe that is both rugged and attractive enough to be worn with the same sort of clothes I wear with my various...

I've tried them on. Really liked how they looked and felt on, so considering picking them up. They are superficially similar in a few ways to the Coniston, but the sole is different (Vibram cleated rather than Dainite), which also has an aesthetic impact, being visibly chunkier, which along...

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

That's a great suggestion, thanks Charlie. I still haven't decided whether to go with the contrast or keep it simple, so I'll follow up via email when I order if I decide to go with the custom option.

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

Hi Charlie - I have a quick question on card case customisation. I'm planning to order a Lloyd Card Case with Espresso Baranil outer and Rust Chevre inner (beige thread), but thought it would be nice to have some subtle contrast on the interior, with the leather that comprises the chevrons in...

Thanks Charlie. I may well go for the London Tan actually. I'll send an email once I've decided.

Charlie - do you think a Damask buckle would work well with a Bakers Oak Brown belt, both practically and aesthetically? Or better off sticking with Sedgwick?

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

I'm not committed to 1 3/8", just considering the options really, although from my rather limited experience of belt ownership it feels like the sweet spot. I might go 1 3/8" on the Scott with satin brass roller first off, then decide on the London Tan configuration once I have the Scott in...

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

Thanks for the swift response Charlie! I should've mentioned the belts I was thinking of; both Scott Harness and Bakers London Tan. I'm leaning towards brass for the Scott in any case, but thought a white metal might go best with the Bakers London Tan. I know it's a matter of personal taste...

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

Question for Charlie or Dawn: I'm looking to order a couple of belts in the 1 3/8" (34mm) width, but the only buckle available appears to be the brass west end (with or without roller). I may well go for brass, or choose a different width, but is brass always the only option in 1 3/8", or are...
