You can take it to a tailor and have the upper thigh taken in which will also shorten the rise. I got it done to a pair of RO creatch cargos which solved what appears to be the same problem- szeo

Ive tried both and ended returning the nut jodhpurs. I liked the nut color better, similar to the original sigaro color, but I found the shaft/ instep area to be noticeably bigger than the light/new sigaro ones. It resulted in alot creasing around the strap, more so than usual. They do have...- szeo
