That’s too bad. Did they shutter the barn too? Happy to have been able to at least visit the factory several years ago.

THE 2024 ALLEN EDMONDS (AE) APPRECIATION THREAD

Man, it’s been a while since I perused this thread. I think I stopped subscribing once the Queen’s reign was cut short. Anyway, I’ve been seeing ads for the Dallas Roper that may rope me back in. Anybody try it yet? I like the silhouette but not a fan of the sole treatment. Would prefer double...

Yeah creases come back a bit after wear but I look at it as kind of a reset. I’d still look into the hide glue as a hold however long so it doesn’t progress.

Do you use shoe trees after every wear? You could also stand to bone those rolls out. That hole or tear ain’t ever gonna be brushed out lol. I’d try hide glue (horse) using a toothpick and maintain the flatness of the area with a shoe tree and bone.

Sorry man, having trouble accessing this site recently. Anyway here they are: Blue plaid was tried on and washed tags removed Orange plaid tagged unworn. Both small slim western cut. Too skinny for me.

Glad to have found this page! I had purchased some slim small western shirts from Stag and Brogue but they’re too small for me. I’m more of a medium slim or small regular fit. If there’s any interest I can post up pictures and dimensions. Some are new unworn with tags others have been tried on...

Should be about the same. This is why I go down a full size in TB boots contrary to standard sizing advice (which is half size).

Yeah cap toes were from City (Blaine). I always wanted a pair of black single monks since Brosnan was Bond (Church’s).

Those plain toe boots are especially dope! I love black shell, man. I also have four pair: plain toe oxfords, cap toe oxfords, plain toe single monks, and Chelsea’s. I’m looking to add two more at some point: Plain toe bluchers and Indy’s.

I had a pair that got really wet and lots of welts like the pictures above. Normal brushing didn’t take care of it. Had to use Renomat to knock down the top coat to get to the welts. See above description. Worked great. Now I use leather defender and don’t get welts. Problem solved.

Also, my understanding is that renomat is kind of a harsh stripper but renovateur is more of a conditioner. Two different products.
