I have a milled finish flannel that looks like a classic worsted herringbone with a matte finish as well. Depending on the length, some may be more milled than others. But in general, the fuzziness if from the milling. It gives it a vintage style look.- Sreezy36

High-twist wool with glen plaid pattern - okay for a sport coat?
I would say that they because of the small subtle nature (scale) of the check and texture of the cloth it looks more akin to a worsted wool suiting. For a glencheck Jacketing, a more defined texture and/or lager scale check is preferred. But to each their own.- Sreezy36

Glen check works exceptionally well for both an odd jacket and suit depending on the context. However, I'm not sure if that cloth selection (assuming dugdale-tropicalair) is the good choice. No. Both Mario and Antonio cut close to the shoulder as a default. Generally, clients may ask for more extension in subsequent commissions.
