What is the proper fit for leather loafers?

For loafers, I would strongly suggest to try tounge pads to prevent heel slip if you find that as an issue. Its a very easy solution, it helps push the feet back in the loafer - opposite to what a heelgrip would do. Plenty different versions available if you do a quick search: Tounge pad search...

Try to add a thin leather insole (plain leather or with cork below) and also try tounge ads. Both will help and prevent the heel slip. There is also heel grips to try in case thats still needed. Im probably not allowed to link but there is guides out there that can help you with more input.

One option is also to try the shoes with a thin insole. There is pure leather ones and also leather with cork beneath that build about 1/4 size. There is also soles building around 1/2 size that you can try to see if 8 seems better for you (but now you will know for sure after ordering the 8 :-) )

Front part of feets widest circumference. Not very usefull to be able to judge, we usually get the correct size based on feet length and other brands / sizes.

Both depending on taste, Havana has a tint of red hue in it while dark brown is more pure dark brown. I would go with Havana cream and black/dark brown polish.

The TLB shoe trees is lasted, ours is generic, so the TLB fits better since they are made from the exact same last as the shoes. We will stock Velasquez in future, and Van Gogh also if/when we have any stock model on that last.

I dont experience any major difference between them based on swedish rain/snow/ice ground.

I think the shoe care thread is more suitable for that question to keep this thread on the subject. https://shoegazing.com/2017/04/09/the-tip-wipe-off-rain-on-the-pants/

For what its worth (im biased) I have experience from several years of wear of the different soles (also prior to Artista was launched) and i can only find pros with the city rubber sole: - Looks better - Sleeker profile - Better feeling when worn - No significant difference in durability based...

The grain structure is not hard to polish so just go ahead and make it shine :)
