    Besnard - Official Affiliate Thread

Those are some really nice looking trousers! I have a question on the color though, when visiting your website the natural color linen trouser looks like light grey, and quite different from the natural color in the picture above? Are they indeed both the same trouser, and if so I wondered which...

Incence Oud from Nicolaï for me today. Perfect for a cold winter stroll in the woods today. I'm normally not an oud fan, but luckily (as for many Nicolaï offerings) the name can be misleading here. This means, oud is definitely not a main player in this fragrance for me. Rose, patchouli and...

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

Choosing one signature scent would be impossible, but I think three scents that always make me feel confident and "me" are: - Guerlain Jicky EdP or extrait (current formulation) - Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT (90's formulation) - Nicolaï - New York Intense

I never smelled Byredo, but from what I hear (from people who's opinion I rate very highly) it is all quite bland, and the hype has more to do with marketing than actual quality. If you're quite new, I would highly suggest you buy some samples first to get a grasp of what kind of fragrances...

I had Duc de Vervins Extreme but sold it in the end. I kind of liked it, but I'm just not really into green fragrances I learned. From all the green fougeres that I did smell/sample, this was one of the better ones to me though.

What music are you listening to lately?

Latest Enrico Rava on ECM, warm and atmospheric as always.

What Movies Are You Watching Lately

Also really liked this movie (and I'm not really a sci-fi fan). Just really interesting from a philosophical point of view.

From what I understood, Fougere L'Aube was modeled after the "original" Fougere Royale, which is quite different from the modern version above (which I still love as a fantastic citrus/fresh office scent with retro feel). From my memory Fougere L'Aube smelled much more oldskool due to real...

Chypre Siam is fantastic I think! I bought a 60ml bottle a year ago or so, and use it quite frequently. Some people also see resemblances to vintage Mitsouko, and I can kind of see that. Both fragrances I like to wear in autumn like weather. My SOTD is Fougere Royale. It's my first " real"...

Black Aoud is Montale right? I had a sample of that once, and it was one of the most nuclear an vile things I ever smelled. Instant scrubber for me  That being said, with many "real" cologne's I have absolutely no problem with over spraying. Guerlain Eau du Coq, Eau Impériale, Nicolai...

    What are you reading?

I really love Isaiah Berlin as a thinker, and also appreciate his clear style. Title of the book kind of says it all; this book concentrates on the thinkers (a.o. Rousseau, Fichte, Hegel, Helvetius, Condorcet) of the Romantic age, and the influences their thoughts still have on society today.

Rewatched Otto e Mezzo by Fellini. I'm not the greatest Fellini fan, but this is quite the masterpiece. With the endlessly stylish Marcello Mastroianni and beautiful Claudia Cardinale

The new Marcin Wasilewski album on ECM.

Boucheron Jaipur is quality stuff, although the cinnamon in there is to prominently for me to want a full bottle. I went for Fragronard Cologne Grand Luxe today. Not really a fan of the Fragonard brand as a whole, but this one is really great I think. One of my favorite "old skool style"...
