one of my less serious new years resolutions was not to buy any expensive RTW shirts this year, but I was in a jam last week and ended up picking up (I think) the last black SS2009 oxford in medium at barneys SF. probably the most comfortable shirt I own now, great fabric. hope it holds up...- safetythird

How much wear did you put on 'em? TBH, I could see a lot of leather-soled boots ending up like that if you wore them out several days a week for a while in snow/rain (out being more from door to car to door, actually walking around the city) I too thought about buying those, but I have the w+h...- safetythird

This is Kris Van Assche, I believe. I remember seeing it in GQ or Details around the time his first solo collection dropped. I think it's kind of ridiculous in general, but esp. at a designer's price. (Actually, I don't care much for KvA's designs in general...)- safetythird

What are these beads?
Just looks like a wallet chain made with beads or sequins on a wire or string to me. It could also have a pocketwatch, keys or mobile on the end I guess. Woolrich Woolen Mills Fall/Winter 2009
This jacket's pretty interesting with the vertical strips of material: I'd totally take the under-jacket, shirt and tie from this one. I like the coat except the pocket-bags or whatever aren't doing it for me.- safetythird

Those Thom Browne shirts are about $240 retail. Yeah, I just looked. I thought the OCBDs were priced similarly to the other shirts but they're quite a bit cheaper. Thanks. (Both of the TB shirts I have were tagged $450ish at barneys, though I picked them up for well under $200...)- safetythird

Well, I tried on BoO and it was too large. The Thom Browne shirts were a better fit. My TB dress shirts fit amazing (much better than band) but not $450+ retail worth of amazing. Yay for the recession. I've never tried on gitman but if they made an ocbd approaching the thom cut around a BoO...- safetythird
