Thanks! I don't know any local cobblers, I could ask around. I’ve had two other pairs done by AE and they looked new when I got them back.

I have them boxed up ready to go to AE. I guess I could go to a local place, but I thought AE would do a better job. Is that not the case?

Seems like I should go with the original soles or maybe vtread but steer clear of dainite.

Thanks! I’ve never had dainite before. I have vtread on a couple pairs. Worried I wear out the leather too fast (in New England rain, etc)

I’m sending my brown overlord shoes for recrafting. I can’t decide if I should get the original soles or go with dainites or vtread?

I’m interested in the Normandy boots. I have the Long Branch in 11D, will these fit about the same? Also have Strand, Fifth Ave, Neumok in 11D. Thanks!!

Thanks. I had full leather but I just wore them out too quickly. Also, wearing in the rain and snow probably didn't help. Still indecisive about dainite or v-tread.

I need to have my McTavish recrafted and I want to get different soles. Which ones are better, the Dainite or V-Tread?

Good to know! Wasn't sure if I could buy a gift card and then use a gift card at shoebank. (Can I use a gift card when ordering over the phone?)

Dark Brown/Cognac is what I have and what is available.

I usually don't buy at full price. Only one cobbler in town that I know, mixed reviews. Uppers seem to be good, they are about 2 years old and get worn once or twice a week. I don't have a relationship with a SA that I know of!
