    Tuxedos for people under 25

    I'm 18 and about 5'11" and 160 lbs. Since I'm a student I would prefer not to spend an exorbitant amount of money on a tux purchase or rental (say under 300) and I am going to a friend's high school prom.

    Tomorrow I have to go a reception at an art museum where a few of my ofriends had works exhibted.  I was wondering if black pants, a garnet colored shirt, with a brown suede belt and brown suede shoes would be acceptable attire.
