RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

I had a brand new boxed and never worn pair of black Stockman Buckle Boots with the comfort craftsman sole, which have been listed in the classified section for about a year without any interest. As soon as I realised that they were discontinued I immediately took down the listing. Maybe I’ll...

Thanks for sharing these. Unfortunately they aren’t exactly what I’m looking for.

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

It looks like the Stockman Buckle Boot has been discontinued. It appears that the focus is now squarely on only elastic sided boots.

Or does anyone have a pair of top boots in 11G that they’d consider selling?

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

Does anyone know where I can source R.M. Williams top boot styles such as the Executive and Stock Agent styles? I realised that they have been removed from their website, but I’m hoping there is a shop somewhere in the world that has a pair in Australian/UK size 11G. I sent a message to R.M...

It’s not available in Dark Tan. The closest boot you’ll find to the shade of brown is the Gammon Boot. https://www.rmwilliams.com/gammon-boot-brown-vesta-leather.html?lang=en_US

What you have is the R.M. Williams Yard Boot. This was the precursor to the Gardener Boot, but was discontinued because the screws sometimes wore through the boot over time. They stopped making these around 2008/2009.

You’re comparing a flat heeled boot with a Cuban heeled boot, though you may be right with regards to the leather quality. They simply don’t make them like they used to.

Travel shoes — what’s your approach?

No, but I have a pair of Baudoin & Lange Sangan Belgian loafers. While the leather is extremely supple and buttery; even with the addition of the non-slip sole protectors it’s like skating on ice on any tiled or polished surface as they didn’t apply non-slip protectors to the bare leather heels...

Travel shoes — what’s your approach?

If I can only take one pair of shoes, and I know I will need to wear a suit during my business trip at least once, then for me it’s a very simple choice. I take my R.M. Williams Comfort Craftsman in black yearling leather. They are smart and can be worn with both formal and casual wear while...

It’s difficult to differentiate yearling chestnut from kangaroo chestnut as it doesn’t appear as in other kangaroo leather colours.

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

Personally I haven’t. Not something I’d do unless I was using them specifically for riding, or I was a member of a rock band.

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

Spice is was the original R.M. Williams tan suede. Back then the Havana suede did not exist. I owned both Blaxland and Comfort Craftsman boots in spice suede long ago, but your sole has a more natural look than I recall mine having.

    Most certainly not genuine ostrich

I’ve seen these for sale on eBay many years ago on a number of occasions. The leather has clearly been processed to look like ostrich, but they are most certainly not genuine ostrich although R.M. Williams did make boots in ostrich, but they suspended this service for unknown reasons.
