    continuing on the hijacked thread on resoling shoes...may I ask when is the right time to have one's shoes resoled. Does one wait till there is a hole in the sole, or the sole opens up at the side, or when the stitch begins to show at the edges of the sole.

    Visit to e green in northampton, england

    Here are some pictures of the factory, on a separate visit...thought it will make sense to put these together. One error I will correct is that the picture I described as stiching on the outsole is incorrect. The gentleman is "skin stitching" the apron and toe seams...

    Thanks for your reference. I am a moderator at TimeZone.com, and amongst other things, we have a watchmaking school...not in depth enough to qualify you as a watchmaker, but for the hobbist trying to understand how a mechanical watch works, the course is quite good. (yes I have tried it myself)...
