Thanks @Bela Kun and @covskin. I think I mis-remembered seeing brogues. Or maybe it was on a different forum. But between the smooths and the brogues I have a much better idea now of toe shape. I have been seeing a lot more Stone Island in Toronto lately - I counted two stoneys on students in the exam I just invigilated. Fashion-forward young people seem to be into it now as part of a streetwear look. Maybe something to do with Drake hanging out with aping the styles of UK grime...- Paint House Gang
