    Best fit for skinny men

I'm close to the same size (6', 145 lbs); I think the current trend of slim fitting clothing is a good thing for us. I'm slowly rebuilding my wardrobe with slimmer fitting clothing. Suits are a problem OTR for me so I'm committed to MTM. For me a I like trim silhouette with a natural shoulder...

    Polo 40% off code

I found out the code is supposed to be good through July 4. The 40L Congressman I tried on was normal length...I agree Horace I think it's a deliberate look on the models. A little like Thom Browne though not as severe.

    Polo 40% off code

The lapel rolls to the 2nd button (which many would argue is a "true" 3 button , I actually just tried a jacket on in the store the other day; I'm usually a 39L but a 40L Congressman fit me like a glove...it felt great, close fit. The lapels are fairly narrow, but look good, and has a center...

Shirt construction question- top button rollover

I think you're both describing the problem, the fabric folds over above the buttonhole. I do send the shirts to the laundry, but I send the ones that this hasn't happened to as well.

Shirt construction question- top button rollover

I have a problem with certain dress shirts where the fabric above the top button tends to roll over after a few washings, making it difficult to get the tie to sit correctly. My shirts are all either Brooks Brothers or Polo, this has never happened to any of the Polo shirts, even those years...

My Father's Fashion Tips by Tom Junod

Oh, and in answer to the obvious question, "why would anyone go to Esquire's website?", I confess I was hoping to find an update on that train wreck currently in progress known as the Esquire's Search for the Best Dressed Real Man in America. No luck on that front though...

My Father's Fashion Tips by Tom Junod

http://www.esquire.com/features/arti...mfe_lou_1.html This is an entertaining article by Tom Junod that I read years ago in Esquire. I was happy to see it reprinted on the site today. I don't subscribe to all of his father's advice; he's got some interesting ideas. I've thought of this article a...

    Monogramming shirts

Harris - I have never asked about Brooks monogramming for RTW shirts; but I have noticed their options are limited in the catalog. The article on shirt tail monograms - I can't remember for sure, I think it may have been in Esquire a couple of years ago.

    Monogramming shirts

The traditional place to put a monogram (according to Flusser, Martin Greenfield and others), which is rarely seen these days, is about 4 inches above the waistline of your pants on left side (for a shirt w/ no pocket). I've only had a couple of shirts done, the first time I asked someone to...

Announcement - The forum is moving

This is a great move, several other boards I read use vbulletin and I find it by far the easiest discussion group format to use. You will especially like the quick search function that's available from every page.

    Gordon Gekko from "Wall Street"

Nice to see this topic, I'm relative new to the forum (discovered it in the NYT article last year), but have been meaning to do a search for posts on Gekko as I was sure he must have been covered before. Wall Street came out when I was 15 and Gekko was a huge style influence for me. I did not...

Help me spend my suit $$

I haven't read thru the entire post linked below, but initially it left me skeptical of Chan. Seeing the number of times the name comes up on this group, I assume this is an anomaly? I would proceed carefully based on the pictures here: http://66.170.193.77/cgi-bin....60;st=0
