    Quoddy Boat Shoes quality question

I have been very pleased with the quality of my Quoddys. The other brand I have heard mentioned which produces a quality shoe is Russell.

    Fit of J Press Suits

I have two J Press suits from the Pressidential line (Southwick made). They are not slim fitting. I had the sides taken in by my tailor. I am not sure which model of the BB 1818 line you are considering, but I found the BB Madison (which is the roomiest BB fit) to be more fitted than the...

Cuffs on Suit Pants - no break?

Tailors seem to want to create more of a break, but I request a slight break with 1.75 cuffs.

    Is Trad dying?

I clicked a thread called, "The Pink," in the Trad Forum, but it wasn't the topic that I expected. - B You need to be a Senor Member to see the hidden pics on the thread.

    Blue vs. Grey Seersucker

I was contemplating a choice of seersucker several months ago. I decided against the classic blue which left the grey or cream choices. I ultimately opted for the cream/tan and white from Press. My understanding was that some of the grey jackets had more heavily padded shoulders while the...

"Sack Attack" RL new sack suit - WWD

Anyway, back to the sack. I think you really need the whole look for them to work well and I'm afraid the whole look doesn't really fit in any more. Putting aside the the fact that I disagree with your premise about needing the whole look to work, how is it that the whole look does not fit in...

"Sack Attack" RL new sack suit - WWD

BBC - Thanks for pictures. I personally prefer the more fitted sacks. My objection to darts is purely an aesthetic preference. I have found some OTR have more side suppression than others, but it is easy enough to have my alterations tailor make the adjustments.

    Folded Up Shirt Appreciation

They're exactly what I wanted. Exactly what they look like. Big-ish traditional fit but still look good on me (even though I'm pretty slim). Perfect collar roll which, for whatever reason, no button down I've bought or commissioned bespoke has ever even approached. O'C has a few more in my neck...

Taking in sides of Brooks Brothers shirt. Cost?

I have had the seams taken in as well as had fabric taken out of the arms. I cannot remember the price, but think it ran about $35 per shirt or so. I was very happy with the work, but it is not cheap.

Jos. A. Bank to open outlet stores...

I buy my work pants and my boxers from there as I find the quality is good enough and they go on sale regularly (well boxers they put on clearance for $10/pair and the pants are 3/150) Also I thought with the AEs you can get the corp discount on them which is 20% all day every day or has that...

    ASW store

I agree about the ASW store. I just picked up my third Cappelli tie. While the price is steep, the ties are beautiful, extremely well-made, and the size is perfect for me.
