    I take half a size smaller in one Cheaney (last 205) Compared to 341 last. Also from trying on shoes or boots in the Cheaney store, I know a few more, but can't remember the last number. To add confusion, in one cheaney last (sorry I can't get to the shoes to check at the moment) I'm the same size.

    I'm in the UK, the exchange rate doesn't affect me. Just being at home not earning an income is my main concern at the moment. At least as far as buying a new pair of shoes is concerned.

    There isn't much on the site is there. I think the 238 last is slightly shorter and doesn't narrow so much towards the toe.

    I thought dark brown was the better option for a first pair. Although I wear them mainly during spring / summer, they work with lighter trousers / pants. As a second pair, I'd probably get a lighter snuff.

    I agree. Last winter in snow the dainite sole was useless on my chukka boots. These look like they may be a bit more surefooted in the snow. As yet I only have chukka boots, these would fit that gap for bigger boots.
