Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

I don’t find a way to link a specific post, at least in mobile. Hopefully you can find it in this page https://www.styleforum.net/threads/leather-jackets-post-pictures-of-the-best-youve-seen-owned.71625/page-1047

I don’t know to be honest, however it works I just checked and the average doctors’ salaries here are a bit above twice the average nationwide salary, so most are hardly rich, which was my initial point.

    Recent purchases - Part II

Multiple tears? That’s a return unless they give you a hefty discount for keeping it.

Hmm pretty sure in my country doctors’ salaries are regulated just like any other public worker. If they are superstar doctors (the kind celebrities go to) then chances are they won’t work for public hospitals though.

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

In other news, I drunkenly ordered the Sandro jacket I posted the other day, this one. Also, I remember when @tellure posted his entire collection and evolution over the years, and I loved that post. I wish more people did it. I might do it, actually, even if my collection is underwhelming...

Ah true I forgot about student loans. And yes universal health care does not limit the doctors’ salaries and in fact many have their own private business (on top of working in the public healthcare in the mornings or because they work for a non-public hospital etc) but when there’s “free”...

Software developer salaries in the US are crazy, compared to Europe. Even in London it’s pretty hard to go above £100k even with experience. Same goes for doctors, they are pretty well off in my country but most are hardly rich. I guess due to universal health care.

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

To clarify, by “traditional shoemakers” I meant the likes of Carmina, C&J, Edward Green, G&G, John Lobb etc, i.e. CM brands. I don’t think cost of the hide is a factor in some of these brands. And I was talking about horsehide, not shell which is a different beast (and not even leather...

I have a bit of an off topic question: if horse leather is stronger than calf, how come it’s rarely (if ever) used by traditional shoemakers, which seem to always use calf?

Brand new? If it’s either the classic L01 or L17 in black (no distressing etc) I’d say go ahead. They look good, I like the fit (never tried on myself though) and SLP jackets have good resale value. I’d get the calf one for durability, although some swear by lamb in these designer jackets.

Is it me or this brand had never been mentioned here until a few months ago? Is it new? Or just new to SF? Something similar happened with Addict previously, I’d say.

I like the Tylor... or to be more specific, I’d like the Tylor with the hem of the James.

Lazy Oaf is my gf’s favourite brand (bit less lately), and I’ve bought her quite a few things over the years. But quality is seriously lacking.

I think I go one step further and either avoid buying gym clothes at all (e.g. I’ll use old t shirts) or buy literally the cheapest sweatpants I can find.
