Has anyone ordered a tipped grenadine tie from Cappelli recently? I placed an order on several ties that should have been tipped, however they arrived untipped. Trying to figure out if I'm alone in this or this is their new way of doing grenadines.- mfridman

disappointed to see yet another new collection of trousers without a single model made for braces. the fishtail trousers they had a couple of years ago are incredible - I wonder if the demand for such trousers was too low to justify keeping them.- mfridman

Rock Your Socks- show your sock, shoe & pant combos
I have an upcoming event to which I am planning to wear a pair of knee-high silk socks, for about 10-12 hours straight. From experience, will silks socks (I have a pair from @Kent Wang ) hold up this long, or should I plan on stashing an extra pair of socks?- mfridman

Paul Sargent (formerly Alfred Sargent) Appreciation Thread
9.5UK in Loakes and 9.5 in AS. I know Aldwych are G (wide), and Armfields are F, however I also have two pairs of Loake Strands, which are F as well and were not that snug at first. From my experience with TM Lewin (my last order from them was about 2 years ago, so maybe things have changed since then) - their shirts are not "easy-irony" or "non-irony" at all (maybe depends on the fabric you chose). CT are good shirts, but do keep in mind that their collars are fused and somewhat stiff (per my taste). Their collar points are also quite short on the spread collars, which makes it difficult to match them to some suit jackets (collar gap). My choice for shirts is TM Lewin...- mfridman

Note on the tie discussion - I would advise against SuSu ties. They are not very good in terms of fit and quality, even for their moderate price point. I would much rather recommend EG Capelli ties (http://www.patriziocappelli.it/catalog/). Prices there range from 80 to 90 EUR, a bit more...- mfridman
