Are these trousers too wide?
Bought one pair of Transatlantic El Jadidas. Fit was ok for cheap khakis (requiring some adjustments to eliminate extreme bagginess and get that high waist to fit properly in the seat (they’re not jeans). I spent about half the cost of the trousers at my tailor. But they’re cheap so worth it...- maxalex

Custom suit and color/fabric choices
It sounds like this company, a small chain, is doing MTM. That involves using block patterns and making some adjustments based on your measurements. It’s not true bespoke, where the whole pattern is cut directly to your measurements. That costs more, sometimes a lot more depending on the skill...- maxalex

Sunspel Riviera Polos and Wrinkles, what to do?
Not familiar with that garment but some fabrics just wrinkle quickly. Most polos are a type of knitwear and generally don’t wrinkle much; obviously not yours. Spray starch when ironing can help.- maxalex

Should a sportcoat fit differently than a blazer or suit jacket?
Whether a suit or a separate, a jacket should fit you..well. There is no different approach. Are shoe trees necessary for dress boots and dress shoes/loafers?
Cedar has no advantage over any other wood, but the stubborn myth of its superiority means most shoe trees are made of it, as that’s what people expect. Buy the cheapest wooden shoe trees you can find. Any wood.- maxalex

I g By beige I meant a light color, like a khaki or creme. Yes, very few people these days would even notice if you wore the jacket of a navy pinstripe suit as a separate. You should be safe.- maxalex

Personally I would wear that suit jacket as a separate, but I live in Europe where splitting up a suit is more accepted. Even in the States where it causes trauma, the jacket has enough of a pattern to work separately, perhaps with beige trousers. To me.- maxalex

That’s more versatile than white tie, especially as you needn’t always wear the waistcoat with the tux. Or the wingtip collar. For a later gala event or just a night on the town, you can wear a conventional collar and skip the waistcoat if you want a more contemporary look.- maxalex
