Sounds a lot like the LeatherSoul Tanker Boot. I actually ordered a pair of these and forgot about it (pretty sure I was traveling in Asia and was seriously jet-lagged, a bit drunk or both... ). In the meantime I bought my first pair of GS NST's in brown CXL. When the LS pair showed up "out of...

I'd kinda wonder if a narrower heel would yield some fit during break-in as the cork settles. For me Leo has always felt a bit more gathered at the mid-foot and a bit more open at the toe than Barrie, but heels have been similar. I think I generally get a slightly better, more 'grounded' fit...

My buddy was debating shell, saying he didn't like "shiny" leathers. I'm going to show him this pic as an example of what properly-worn shell can look like when the goal is earned patina. (which he likes the overall concept of)

Very true, and pretty fun. It's always a good time hanging out with Mr. G - he has so much knowledge that almost off-handedly falls out of him - lol. I'm a talker, and I have to work hard to remind myself to shut up and listen. He's got so many truly unique makeups that it's hard to take it...

I apologized before, during and after. And congratulated him too ;) He's very happy and excited about the boots!

Today I officially corrupted one of my friends with a visit to Matt at Ealdwine. I got to eyeball the gorgeous Color #2 boots, and my buddy picked out a great pair of NST's in Arabica Lux (the Cabarrus, on the right in the pic below. Matt's outstanding #8 cap toes and my Ravello WTB's at the...

You'd size exactly as Barrie for most of their lasts. I haven't tried the new lasts (Floyd?) for the Field Boot and the Brass Boot, but the Leo last used for a lot of their boots is pretty similar to Barrie, with a bit more room in the toes. For comparison, I'm a 12D Brannock, and 11.5D in...

Damn brother - those look: A) Amazing (that's my profanity-friendly reaction) and B) very crimson - almost what I'd expect from #8 CXL. Is that the camera or are do they present like that in person?

I do. I'm mainly talking about how "shaped" they are. For me, Plaza in my Brannock (12D) is better than 1757 in the same, but both are good and have a very tailored fit.
