Don't cobblers remove a layer of the heel when they add the topy and then file down the rest of the sole when they add on the other part of the topy such that it fits flush? This would mean that there is no more layer or pristine condition if you remove the topy.- lordofthefart

I'm thinking of going to a cobbler and adding a topy on a pair of new Guidis and was wondering if just glueing it on to the sole for $20 will be bad/damage it in any way or if I should just ship it out to someone for a more professional job? Also, does it look like to anyone else that the shoe is more of a right angle triangle than a curve at the front? It's going to be hard to get slim jeans to fit over them.
