Get back out there! Actually rocking a grindle t-shirt and whatever the cotton/poly LWC shorts are as I am about to play.

Pretty sure I have all those colors, but why stop now. Holding out hope for a navy one as I think that might be the only one I don’t have. Matters not as not a bad color and been wearing the old ones at the tennis club. Don’t know how folks play in polyester in Hawaii…

New Yorker shorts are some of my faves, but I did get them shortened to 7 inches or so as I found them too long. Ended up also starting with regular fit fatigues that I had made into 7 inch shorts as I prefer the button fly and likewise the fatigue shorts are pretty long. With pants, I do go...

Have that exact pair. They fit way bigger than my Maine Guide Boots. Ordered them from England and they sent me the wrong size as it was stated as a UK 11 which is a 12 in US sizing and they fit damn near perfectly in a 11.

Website is really janky for sure. However, they are awesome and DHL gets even to Hawaii where I live really fast. Quicker than UPS Ground from West to East coast. Shipping shows at checkout once you enter the information. Still works out a good bit cheaper than ordering from a US retailer...

Thanks! After reading your post, I seriously doubt they will fit as my foot runs wide.

Done. Do wonder if they will fit as 11’s work for their Maine Guide Boots and Ox, but on some need a 12. Either way, so damn cheap I figured will give them to someone if they don’t fit. Thanx for the heads up!

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

That does drive me crazy about Inis Meain. Worse, the 70/30 merino cashmere blend is killer even if not called cashmere. Actually just picked up a sweater from them from Todd Snyder for $180 from their 40% off sale price promo that is 70/30. What is cool is they are finally offering a 100%...

Ditto the 107s I got during Ron Herman’s OOB sale. Still cannot believe so much production has moved considering an outline of Japan is on their logo and that same outline is on my reverse weave hoodie and a t-shirt. This was a brand built on being Japanese. While I have no doubt...

Totally get that! There was much deliberation and my gf bought them for me. I think this is my 10th or 11th pair of Yuketen’s and I liked the way the Maine Guide boots fit so well, I figured what the heck.

Awesome about the shoes! Speaking of UK Yuketen retailers, The Hip Store has some smoking deals on a number of Yuketen models. Mostly the made in Portugal stuff, but just added Maine Guide Ox DB in Bandana Quatro for £250 or around $300. They are $792 on Yuketen’s website. Here is the link...

That and these companies making really damn clear down to the prefecture where items are made in Japan. I get the point being made, but good God is this also being part of many Japanese companies marketing.

The thing is that the items that are still MiJ, they (or retailers) certainly make that clear and likewise in sewn clearly into the label. Ultimately, it is problematic when companies are built on the reputation of being made somewhere like Japan and then clandestinely switching. Especially...
