    New Grenadine Tie- Chipp Neckwear

This is easily the most beautiful tie I've ever owned. Personally, I consider it maroon-like, but that's probably because I want it to relate to my alma mater.

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

What issues? I plan on ordering a jacket sometime in the next six months. edit: My knowledge comes basically from Woollen Hulls on this point. http://woollenhulls.com/post/170530310208/luxire-handmade-suit-review.

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

I placed an order at the end of October that arrived near the end of February. Good to hear that Luxire is working on manufacturing time. I plan on placing an order for a couple of white shirts to be ready for my first fancy lawyer job. My last order had a Grandi & Rubinelli White Dobby Twill...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

Here is my Black Lapel suit with remade pants, but original jacket. I took these so y'all could see the new pants, as well as give you better pictures of the jacket. I focused on having my natural, relaxed stance. I have a fairly erect stance. Note that the sleeves are the fault of tailoring...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

I am relatively overweight, so I bet that's the case. I'll attach a picture from the same group of photos without the jacket on. I'm not sure what you mean by balance. How would I communicate that to BL? As for length, I would say it reaches just above the crotch. edit: added the promised but...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

Update: Black Lapel has offered to remake my jacket. I have taken the jacket to three different tailors in two cities who all refuse to adjust sleeve like at the shoulder. Because no tailor in my area is willing to do this, Black Lapel offered to remake the jacket. I'm very (and pleasantly)...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

In all likelihood, my fault. I'm not trained in proper measurements, and neither was the one measuring me, a friend.

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

I measured myself. So far, I'm very happy with Black Lapel. This is my first suit through them. I ordered extra pants. They remade them without hesitation when the seat was wonky.

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

Yes, I believe it was simply folded, though I expect the buttons are missing. I plan on going to a different tailor. The one before is also a dry cleaner, which I hear is a red flag. There is only one shop in my area that does not do dry cleaning, but their primary business is formal-wear...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

I have definitely learned the lesson. But I wonder how I should proceed now. Is the alteration reversible? Do you find the tailor trustworthy, such that I should ask him to reverse it, or should I find another tailor to do this?

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

I did not. I was not aware I should have. It never occurred to me a tailor would make this kind of alteration without consulting me first. Especially if the alteration is a destructive process. Is it?

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

Yes, appear to be old Wool-Rich. Prices seem identical though. A few days ago I ordered a $120 navy pair, but the vast majority of choices were $130, with premium versions (fresco) around $200 iirc. Sidenote: Woollenhulls has been a goldmine of useful information. Thank you so much for taking...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

I had a tailor take in the sleeves only my suit jacket from Black Lapel. I guess BL used functioning buttonholes and the tailor didn't know how to handle it. Here are pictures of how the tailor decided to take in the sleeves (without telling me he would do it this way!). The remaining buttons...

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

My knowledge was outdated! I should have let someone else answer. I apologize. I hadn't ordered trial clothing from Luxire since they switched to the new website. I love that you can pick the trial fabric now. Sadly, I don't feel knowledgable enough anymore to answer your newly clarified...

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

Unless things have changed, I believe part of the deal with trial pants/shirt is that Luxire gets to use whatever fabric is best available to it. Allowing you to pick among those fabrics takes away an aspect of what allows them to offer the trial clothing at that lower price. But requesting...
