The Bespoke Shoes Thread
Apologies if this is the wrong fred for this... But an email came through from the Northampton Shoes mailing list informing me of a new old (!) brand - Newman Regent. Their logo states they’ve been in existence since the 1800s so I guess this is a relaunch of sorts? Apparently launched last...- JohnnyMarr

Anyone got any knowledge of Bugatti coats? Comments on quality and provenance would be useful. I'm not expecting great things, but there's a reasonably good looking overcoat on sale near me that would do me for this winter at least.- JohnnyMarr

Poor man's watch thread
Does anyone have any tips on how to spot a replica Raketa or Pobeda? I was first made aware of these watches from this thread IIRC, but recall that posters ITK said that Ebay was awash with replicas, not authentic Soviet-era pieces. Any tips much appreciated- JohnnyMarr

General Bike Thread (Desiderata, Questions, Pics)
BMC's Alpenchallenge is nice. Cannondale also do a belt drive version of their Badboy hybrid, but I think it looks ugly with the lefty fork. Boardman have just released a new range of hybrids, one of which has, I believe, Shimano Alfine Di2, not sure if they're available outside the UK though.- JohnnyMarr

Thanks chaps - I'll consider this and do what I can. Incidentally, I have a scuff on my C&J Hallam shoes and asked C&J guy in Jermyn St - he said to bring them in and they can sort of fairly quickly. Shame Meermin don't have a London store!!- JohnnyMarr
