martial arts in l.a. for a 5 year-old?
For me, that is exactly why I wanted my kid to start karate at a young age. Mine started at five and it greatly improved his motor skills, balance and strength; not to mention his self-confidence. ^fair enough, you'd need a very patient instructor with a good touch with kids then.. 5 seems way...- jgan85

martial arts in l.a. for a 5 year-old?
At 5 years old, I'd suggest Judo. Most kids at that age lack the fine motor coordination that you need for striking arts. I've been assigned a few times to teach karate to beginner kids ages 4-7, and find that very few of them have the coordination to learn proper technique. Not to mention the...- jgan85
