    Recommendations for Shirtmakers in Naples?

I'll be in Naples next Thursday through Saturday, and I'd love to find a shirtmaker who can work with my admittedly tight schedule. I've spent the last two hours looking through posts here and in other places, and I haven't yet nailed down what I'm looking for. My shirts right now are mostly...

    Bright colors in fall/winter

Definitely agree with GBR. As long as you are mindful of practical considerations (wool flannel in summer probably isn't a lot of fun) and don't make very obvious choices that even those who are not stylistically inclined may see as strange (i.e. seersucker in winter), I say go for it.

    Bright colors in fall/winter

Where do you live that there is slush throughout the fall and winter? To me, a lot depends on what outfit you're wearing (jeans, suit, etc.) and what particular item is brightly colored. I live in NYC, and while I won't be wearing seersucker and spectator shoes in January, I always like...

Seeking SF Wisdom to Refine Custom Shirts

I'm looking to refresh my shirt collection, so I wanted to appeal to the collective experience of this board when it comes to designing my next shirts. A couple of things to mention (apologies for the bullets - I spend most of my work in PowerPoint). I am 5'10" and 160lbs; I'm a cyclist, so...

Navy Suit too dark for brown shoes?

The shoes look a little red for my tastes, but that could be my monitor. Also, the back of the shoes look a little gimmicky with the label - but again, I like simplicity. Personally, I like a brown shoe with a navy or a grey suit over a black shoe - even if the navy suit is pretty dark. IMHO...

Loro Piana Cloth for Sale - Super 120s Wool / Wool & Silk (CMT)

Apologies for being a bit thick - when you are referring to the weight, do you just want me to weigh the entire section of cloth, or are you looking for a weight per a given length? Jon

Loro Piana Cloth for Sale - Super 120s Wool / Wool & Silk (CMT)

I'm a long time lurker on this forum, and now I am clearing out my closet and am putting some of my things up for sale. In this post I have three remnant sections of Loro Piana cloth that I picked up with the intention of doing CMT suits. I never got around to the suits, so maybe this cloth can...

Reasonably Priced Bespoke Options in NYC?

I am looking to pick up a couple new suits, and I would love some guidance from the more experienced members of the forum. I currently wear mostly Isaia in a 38R, and I prefer a trim fit (5'11", 160lbs). Their base S is a bit loose for me - I like the silhouette of their more tapered cuts or...

    Notes from Barney's Warehouse Sale

While I'm new to this board, I've gone to the Barneys NY warehouse sale for the last 11 years (yup, half my closet comes from there). A couple of notes from my experience: - Show up when it first opens. The really good stuff disappears quickly. Last year, I picked up a gorgeous wool flannel...
