I found Freeman Shell last week. Condition was below the threshold I would buy, including dry rotted threads, but the model number isn't on the Shell Cordovan model. I took the photos so I could submit the model to the list.

Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions

the hold was likely triggered by the Ebay description. I always do generic titles for customs. "used men's shoes". Unless they open the box, they won't know whether they are Hermes croc or blown-out Florsheim's.

When I was a kid, everyone at my middle and high schools wore wallabees. Suede, not leather. The odd person wore desert boots. Stoners wore sandals.

Even the Aristocraft's are made in India now and the quality of the leather is not great. I heard they still make the 3 crown aristocratfs in Nashville, but I haven't checked myself.

Totally agree, but if you're trying to decide the size of an un-marked pair of shoes to put up on eBay, getting the interior length and using the brannock calculation is about your only option. Outside dimensions are useless. I find getting width almost useless. I ended up making a hybrid...

the math is close. We would assume that shoe would fit a foot measuring 9.58". Multiply that by 3 and you get 28.74. Subtract 22 and you end up with a size of 6.74, either 6.5 or 7. I personally round up and would call it a 7.

the bottom ruler is the shoe measurement where the top size measures the foot. So, 10.5" on the bottom scale is a 7.5 and 10.5 on the top scale is an 8.5 The equation is simple. Start with foot length of 10". (3*10)-22= Brannock size. which in this case would be 30-22 or size 8. If you start...

Hard to say on size, but for my EBay business, I ended up building a size calculator spreadsheet for shoes with no markings. based on an interior length of 11", allowing .67" for "Brannock Factor" or toe room, the shoes support a foot that measure 10.33 inches or a Brannock size 9. Note that...

    I guess a disclaimer stating “this ain’t Bergdorf’s” wouldn’t help much.
