*** Price Drop *** Samuelsohn Navy Blue pinstripe suit 40S

Additional price drop. This is an extraodinary suit. You won't find better quality at this price point anywhere. It has everything. Great suiting fabric, impeccable tailoring, full floating canvas, brand new suit. With this price drop, buying the suit becomes a steal. PM me for interest...

    whnay.'s good taste thread

One would think this is a good example. I spot two violations. Pocket square too "matchy" with the shirt and contrasting collar. Plus, viscerally, there is something not quite right with that tie. :)

How to wear a white shirt

I believe there are two varieties of white shirts. The first is the clean, pure white, poplin/broadcloth, point collar variety. This shirt should be worn with a suit. The second is the oxford cloth, button down variety - especially if it has a heavy fabric with texture. Further, many of...

    Indochino suits?

@BackInTheJox - As a point of reference, this is the way your tuxedo should look. Daniel Craig is muscular. Your body should not deter good fit. These are pics from Casino Royale. The tux is Brioni. I realize IndoChino and Brioni are not even close to being in the league. It's good to...

    Indochino suits?

I do not like the shoulders at all. They should be much softer. There's not enough light to evaluate thoroughly. I know it's hard when your tux is black.

    Indochino suits?

I think you should seriously reconsider the fit throughout the body. I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell you exactly what is wrong. I can say, this is not right. You have divots all over the front. Your shoulders look pinched compared to the waist. The lapels bow outward like the...

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

It has! Thanks for noticing. The label says the size is a Euro 52R. The length is 29" from BOC. In my experience, a Euro 52R has a length of 31" from BOC or more. That means the previous owner cut 2" off the bottom (a big alteration). The button stance and everything is thrown off...

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

Thanks for the opinion. I think "eighties" when I see wide lapels and large mouth, low hanging gorges. It's has a 3-2 button stance and the owner made the mistake of buttoning the top button. It probably would look better if the middle button was buttoned instead. I can't see how the...

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

I like the way it looks on you. It's darted in the back. That's why it feels snug. Sleeves are good. You will appreicate the length when you wear a jacket.

Do you think the lapels on this jacket look dated?

Am I just too small for an off-the-rack suit?

This does make no sense. I've done business with Neiman Marcus for years. Live in Dallas and frequent the downtown and North Park mall stores. If they don't have it in their store, they will ship it from another store overnight.

AEs too light for suit wear?

Here's a pic of the shoes with a suit. Thought this would help. Yes, the suit is on the lighter side. But the shoes work with darker suits as well.
