• CALLING ON HOME SEWERS TO HELP HEALTHCARE WORKERS FIGHTING COVID-19

The lack of proper masks, gowns, and eyewear equipment is making it difficult for health workers to do their work fighting the novel coronavirus. In a recent New York Times article, medical workers said they were worried about how they can both fight the coronavirus without imperiling themselves, as well as their loved ones when they go back home.

If you are a home sewer, please consider helping my joining Hickey Freman Technical Vice President Jeffery Diduch in his effort to produce and deliver homemade gowns and masks to medical professionals in the greater Rochester, New York Area. Read about how you can help here

Hey All, I'd greatly appreciate your feedback on this fit. I'd like to wear this OCBD untucked. Im feeling like it is still a little loose around the bottom, and I feel like the side pose gives good perspective on this section. There also seems to be a lot of extra fabric in the back due to the...

The Styleforum x Archibald Sneaker GMTO

I am really digging the green anticato color! I think this color is a fun alternative to the many shades of brown that is prominent in my dress shoe arsenal. I am however having a hard time envisioning outfits/colors/ways to wear this color. Any recommendations or references to pictures on ways...

    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Hey guys here’s my new antique espresso in the rois last along side what is supposed to be an antique espresso belt from Meermin. There is a pretty big difference in color between the two and I was expecting a perfect match. Do you think I was sent the wrong belt or is this not uncommon with...

When I called I was curious about what would happen to a light/white welt stitching shoe that needed a recraft if stitching color is impacted by the edge dressing. They didn’t have an answer, and they person I spoke to was not aware of an ae shoe that has a white/natural welt stitch. Perhaps one...

Yes I feel like they’ve darkened everything. Welt, edge, and finish is darker than when the shoes were purchased. I’m not necessarily opposed, although it was a surprise to me when I received them. I’m curious if others have had the same experience when recrafting a walnut pair...

Let me know what you think. It’s hard to tell here but the thread is brown when viewing the sole of the shoe.

Called the recraft department and they said they use the same welt thread, edge dressing, paint, as original shoe. The thread color viewed from the sole is brown and silly me couldn’t put two and two together. I was told the “black” thread on top is a result of the dark edge dressing.

Hey guys, I just received my recrafted walnut kenilworths to find that the welt stitching is now black, where as it was originally a brown thread used as I recall. Is black welt stitching default on ae recrafts? I’m surprised a different thread color was used than what came with the original shoe.
