You make a good point---they did a nice job matching the color to what is shown on the site and I'm not sure that I'd want to take a chance on that again. EG asked me to send the boots back so that they could take a look at them. Perhaps they can massage it out as @michaelvl mentioned.- jazz11man1

Thanks. I do like the color---I explicitly asked if they could match the color as it appears on EG's site. I'm torn as to which way to go. Given that it is my first pair and the $2.5K USD that I spent, I'm tempted to see if they can replace them, but as others have said, maybe that's ridiculous...- jazz11man1

On a related note, I just got back and opened my cognac cordovan+mink suede Galways and noticed a slight indent in near the heal of one of the boots. It is both visible (see attached photo) and perceptible to the touch. As this is my first pair of EG shoes, it's not clear whether this I should...- jazz11man1
